New Courses and Workshops for 2023 at Dundee Contemporary Arts

Our new Get Creative programme is here!

Starting in January, it’s full of digital, printmaking and photography courses – perfect if your new year’s resolution is to learn something new. With a wealth of beginner courses and workshops, there’s plenty to choose from. If you find yourself unsure of where to start, our Taster Session is just the thing and gives a great introduction to the different printmaking processes.

More focused on finding the perfect festive gift rather than looking ahead to 2023? Give the gift of creativity with a DCA gift card! These are available in person and over the phone from Box Office and can be used for Print Studio courses and Cinema tickets.

Get digital
This new year brings with it two brand new digital courses. We’re excited to add Illustrator and InDesign to our range of Adobe classes, which also includes Photoshop and Lightroom. Book two and get 10% off your second course – there’s no code needed, simply add two courses to your basket and it will be applied automatically.

Start at the beginning
Most of our courses and workshops are suitable for beginners with all materials provided and expert tutors on hand. Choose from one-day workshops like Lino Cutting and Papermaking, evening courses like Riso Printing and Collagraphy, and weekend classes such as Japanese Woodblock Printing and Mokulito.

Go in depth
Get stuck into a process with our longer classes. Etching (Beginners) delves into traditional techniques over five weeks, Wood Engraving explores this beautiful form of printmaking over a four-week course and create your own books over six weeks in Hardcover Bookbinding  If you’ve already visited the Print Studio for our Andy Warhol Class or Introduction to Screen Printing course, develop your skills even further with Screen Printing (Intermediate)GoccoPro and MiScreen.

Make the most of your new camera
If Santa brought you a new camera or your thinking of treating yourself in the January sales, Get Off Auto is the perfect place to start with your digital camera and Digital Video Editing can help take your filmmaking to the next level.
