David Osbaldeston: In Conversation at Glasgow Print Studio
Sat 4 May
FREE artist talk.
1pm – 2pm
Join us for an insightful discussion on David’s approach to his work currently on show in the main gallery between the artist and Claire Forsyth.
David Osbaldeston: In Conversation will take place in the gallery with artist David Osbaldeston and Claire Forsyth, Creative Director of Glasgow Print Studio. Get a unique insight into David’s unorthodox approach to print, as well as the processes and ideas informing his latest works featured in his current solo show A Pastiche of Different Techniques. This is an in-person event and an opportunity to hear more about the work, and the ideas which underpin it. Open to all, there will also be a chance to widen the conversation outwards to the audience. Following the discussion, we invite you to head upstairs for a behind the scenes look at our Printmaking Workshop.
Between 2pm and 4.30pm you can visit our Printmaking Workshop and Archive which are usually closed to the public. You’ll have a chance to meet some of our artists, watch them at work with printmaking demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Our Archive Curator Kristina will be on hand with a selection of new prints and plates which have recently been added to our collection for you to view. Kristina will also be answering any questions that you might have.
This event is part of Scotland’s Workshops Week 2024.
