Our spaces: Dundee Contemporary Arts
Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) is one of a number of institutions across the UK that present a programme of contemporary visual art and culture. Established as a charity in 1996, the building opened to the public in 1999 and forms a social and cultural hub for the city of Dundee. Supported by Dundee City Council and Creative Scotland, the building contains galleries for the presentation of contemporary art, cinemas, a print studio and a variety of education spaces. You can view all of these in more depth on our website.
An internationally renowned centre for contemporary arts, DCA enables audiences, artists and participants to see, experience and create through our four programme areas: exhibitions, cinema, print and learning.
The main aims of the organisation are to offer opportunities to see, experience and create contemporary art, to support artists to create and disseminate their work, to continue to play a key role in Dundee and Scotland’s cultural and creative ecology, to connect with audiences on local, national and international levels and to ensure a secure future through a healthy and progressive environment and responsible planning and practices.
Now celebrating its 20th birthday, DCA continues to enrich people’s lives through art, culture and creativity.
